Class description:
“Body Weather” is a japanese butoh training method that combines various styles and ways of moving. I am interested in challenging people’s dynamics, coordination, muscles and bones structure, and the ability of doing more things at the same time using the anatomical intelligence of the body. An exploration into new perspectives, the way body and mind functions.”
Body weather and improvisation
” As starting point we will use our own personal movements knowledge, to challenge our selfs and experience group improvisation, as thinking of one mass, one body, that is influenced by music and very desirable individual actions. We’ll try to build a harmony between the individuals and the group and the way we interact with each other. How we respond, restrict and lead our own impulses yet not giving away the awareness of the whole.”
