Participants will watch excerpts from daily classes and research workshops taught by the teachers working on site.
This offers a concrete sense of the program’s atmosphere, work ethic, and artistic direction.
Meet the Directors and Students of TRY Generation 4
Participants will have the opportunity to meet the Program Directors and Coordinator, who will provide detailed explanations about:
- Yearly structure
- Methodologies
- Expectations
- Application process
They will also be able to speak directly with TRY Generation 4 dancers, a unique chance to:
- Hear firsthand experiences
- Ask questions about daily life in Lucca
- Learn about training intensity, artistic growth, and the community environment
- This direct exchange helps prospective students understand whether TRY aligns with their personal vision and ambitions.

- 16 January 2026 — 6:00 pm: Open showing + meeting with students and the Director
- 25 February 2026 — 4:00 pm–5:00 pm
- 20 March 2026 — 3:00 pm–5:00 pm

WHY TRY? – A INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY TRAINING PROGRAM
TRY offers an immersive artistic journey shaped by influential teachers and choreographers in the European and international contemporary dance landscape, including artists connected to:
Rosas / Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus, Akram Khan Company, Damien Jalet, Jan Fabre, La Faktoria Choreographic Center, and others.
The program includes:
• Daily training classes (Ballet for contemporary dancers, Yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonic)
• Contemporary techniques: Release, floor work, partnering
• Improvisation and composition laboratories
• Research and creation workshops
• Technical approaches such as Flying Low, IntAct Method, and more
• A full-year immersive environment within Motore 592, a space dedicated entirely to dance and contemporary arts in Lucca
