After 10 years of running Dance Italia, a summer workshop for advanced level contemporary dancers, Stefanie Nelson – New York based choreographer and Director of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, opened a new space in Lucca named Motore592.

Motore592 is a bold, new contemporary art space dedicated to supporting a wide range of artistic expressions.

The name honors the heritage of the space, bringing with it an entirely new take to the world of art: movement, ideas, action. ‘A place to think, question, push, experiment, and investigate.’ Converting ideas into motion.
