Elisa D’Amico is a freelance dancer and maker working internationally with independent choreographers, dance companies, visual artists, festivals and art institutions, while carrying out her personal research. She holds a BA as Dancer / Maker from ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de kunsten (NL), graduating with a Minor in Maker – two years artistic research program.
As dancer she has collaborated with, a.o., Annika Pannitto, Chrysanthi Badeka, Cie La Bagarre_Erika Di Crescenzo, Mirko Guido, Pablo Bronstein, Aline Nari/Aldes, Roberto Castello/Aldes, Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, De Stilte, Lucia Guarino/Nexus, Donatella Morrone/Nexus, Camilla Monga, S’odinonsuonare, Anna Marocco, Marina Donatone.
She carries out a collaborative research that involves writing, scores and physical practices. Her works, developed together with Francesco Dalmasso, has been presented and selected for: Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Virgilio Sieni e Fondazione CR Firenze – Bando Abitante 2021; ACS Abruzzo Circuito Spettacolo; Permutazioni – choreographic coworking promoted by Zerogrammi, Lavanderia a Vapore, Piemonte Dal Vivo; EDN European Dancehouse Network; Polo del ‘900; Resurface Festival; OGR Torino; PAV – Parco Arte Vivente.
She is amongst the curators of the projects Workspace Ricerca X_research & dramaturgy (Turin, IT) and shared training torino (Turin, IT) and works as Development Associate for Dance Italia (IT/NY).
